5 Fourth of July Craft Ideas Using Chicken Wire

Fourth of July Craft Ideas Using Chicken Wire

What's your favorite way to celebrate the Fourth of July? Ours is going to a family member's house and enjoying a nice day of grilling out, swimming and watching a grand fireworks display! Seriously--all the neighbors throw in money for the fireworks show and it has kind of become a HUGE event--rivaling nearby towns-- ha! But it's defintely a highlight of the summer. There's something about kids dancing barefoot in the grass with their glow sticks while parents sit in their lawn chairs and chat that makes you wish summer would never end.

Here in the South (Charleston, SC to be exact) we love a good excuse to celebrate and decorate. Especially anything rustic/farmhouse style. So we've compiled a list of chicken wire crafts you can make to celebrate the holiday in style. We've chosen some great makers to feature their chicken wire crafts and have linked directly to each one so you can see how to make it yourself.

Star Cutout with Chicken Wire

We love this "Let Freedom Ring"  sign with a chicken wire frame backdrop. The blue lettering and decorations at the top paired with the natural wood frame gives it almost a nautical feel! Check out Start a Home Decor Blog for full details.

Let Freedom Ring

Patriotic craft plaque with chicken wire stretched over the "Let Freedom Ring" design. Easy to make and has a great rustic/Americana feel to it! Check out full details on Debbie Doo's Blog

Shell Wreath Against a Chicken Wire Hutch

Shell Wreath against a chicken wire hutch backdrop. Hanging a wreath on the door of a kitchen hutch is such a good idea! With the kitchen most likely being the gathering place in the home, it's so important to keep your kitchen fresh with new decorating for the holidays. Read more on the full blog post here.

Fourth of July Mason Jar Craft

Keep your flowers organized with this chicken wire mason jar holder. Also good for displaying silverware--keep your forks, knives and spoons separated but together in one jar!

Patriotic Wreath with Chicken Wire

Let this gorgeous red, white and blue wreath inspire you to create your own! We love the use of ribbon, flowers and greenery to add variety.
