5 Ways to Decorate Your Home This Fall

Get your home ready for fall with the five tried and true classic decor tips for the cooler temps.

Front Porch Decor with Wire Baskets

Front Porch Fall Decor

Pumpkins on the front porch are a tried and true decor rule of thumb but adding in a whole basket of pumpkin made from a wire basket adds a fresh take on this classic. We love how Alieta Casey from @alietatreaturehunting on Instagram used a wire basket to hold a few pumpkins and add some height to her pumpkin display. You can buy one or make your own using hardware cloth or welded wire. We also love a fun, personalized door mat like Alieta's!

Tablescapes with Pumpkins

How perfect is WillowBloomHome's tablescape with pumpkins? We love how she mixes in white, orange and light blue pumpkins for a pop of unexpected color. The round, decorative placemats also add a lot with little effort. And the tiny white pumpkins on the plates are so cute! This would also look cute with nametags underneath each pumpkin. What's your favorite color pumpkin to decorate with?

Fall Wreaths

Fall wreaths are a nother classic way to decorate your home for autumn and gives a great first impression. We love this wreath using dried flowers from Menagerie Flower Farm. Not only is it different, but the colors of these dried flowers is so fall-like! Which do you prefer--dried, fake or real flowers for wreaths?

Chicken Wire Pumpkins

We actually made a chicken wire pumpkin last fall and it turned out pretty good! It's a lot harder to make than it looks but we were happy with the result. Looks great on a front porch with other pumpkins and maybe a scarecrow and other fall decor to blend it all together. For the full tutorial, visit our blog post here.

Fall Banner for Mantle

Another project we did was make this chicken wire banner for fall using burlap, chicken wire and fall letters. Super easy to make and it adds a little something extra to your mantle or wall! For the full tutorial on how to make your own fall wreath, visit our blog here.
