Valentine's Day DIY Project: Candy Holder

Valentine's Day is just 2 weeks away and we can hardly wait! I mean, who doesn't love flowers and chocolate? Whether you are celebrating Valentine's Day with your sweetie or Galentine's Day with your best girls, this chicken wire candy holder is so easy to make and is sure to be a hit. Just follow the steps below to make this DIY Valentine's Day project.

Supplies:

Chicken Wire

Wire cutters

Needle nose pliers

Gloves

Doilies

Candy

Fake Flower

Step 1: If this basket looks familiar, it's because it is. We made it during Christmas to hold greenery! Follow these steps from our previous post here.

Step 2: Once you had the basket constructed, add a piece of wire to the top as the handle. You can choose to spray paint it gold or a fun color like pink to match the Valentine's Day theme.

Step 3: Line the inside of the basket with doilies so people don't cut their hand in the chicken wire when reaching in for a piece of candy. Then hot glue a flower to the top for decoration. Or you can glue flowers around the rim of the basket, the possibilities are endless! Bonus points for hanging the candy basket on your door at work to share with your co-workers!
